How Can I Get Involved?

NOSI is almost entirely run by volunteers, so we're always looking for people who can help out. One way to participate is to join the email discussion list.

You can create an account on this site at any time. If you'd like to start blogging here, please send a request directly to michelle at nosi dot net, and I'll get you those permissions right away.NOSI also has (at least) five projects in which we welcome volunteer involvement or contributions:* We need money! Donate Now. * We need people to work on getting more details on free and open source tools at Social Source Commons* We are looking for people to help develop and maintain an online case studies database* We are always looking for people to spread the word and further NOSI's mission by going to conferences, Penguin Day's, and events where the message of FOSS needs to be heard.* We are looking for people interest in writing articles about the issues nonprofits face when they use Open Source, including using Linux in a nonprofit setting, hiring vendors to create Open Source software, software reviews, avoding the pitfalls of the Open Source world, etc. There is a lot to talk about, so let us know if you can help the discussion along.* Finally, people who are already making a significant contribution to NOSI or the world of nonprofit open source software may be invited to become involved in the NOSI steering committee. If you are are ready to help us with any of the tasks listed above, or if you have an idea that is just too good not to share, contact us at info AT nosi DOT net.
